15th IESM Anniversary Lecture Series with Dr. Josefino Comiso
IESM in partnership with the Predictions of the Environment and Application of Remote Sensing (PEARS) Laboratory brought another insightful talk for the 15th IESM Anniversary Lecture Series on March 7, 2018 at the IESM Auditorium. NASA Emeritus Scientist and one of the institute’s visiting professor, Dr. Josefino Comiso had enlightened the crowd of the recent advances in satellite remote sensing of the environment. He shared his knowledge on the basics of remote sensing, historical satellite data, most current satellite data, applications for environmental research, and new systems and big data handling.
